It is a benefit to join you virtually for this vital event of the Oriental Social Science Study Council, and I am honoured to contribute to your prompt reflections on the future of governance in an age defined by AI makeover.
Expert system is improving not just our markets, yet our cultures and public institutions. It is reconfiguring how public choices are made, just how services are supplied, and just how citizens involve with their governments. This is a turning point for democracies. We are experiencing a considerable shift: from responsive administrations to anticipatory administration; from top-down frameworks to dynamic, data-informed ecosystems.
AI enables federal governments to supply services much more successfully via automation, predictive analytics, and personal interaction. The Global Digital Compact, endorsed through the Pact for the Future, lays the foundation for a comprehensive electronic order– one that reflects shared values and global cooperation.
At the United Nations College, we support this improvement via strenuous, policy-relevant study. With 13 institutes in 12 countries, UNU is analyzing exactly how AI can progress lasting development while making sure nobody is left behind.
