I’ll be the first in my household to make an university level, and that’s something I hold very near my heart.
My family and I relocated to the United States in 2014 We chose Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and build a better future.
When I finished senior high school in 2020, I decided to sign up with the Army Reserve so I might work permanent to help sustain my household monetarily. In the process, my parents always reminded me of the importance of a college degree. Honestly, I struggled with the choice in between selecting job over college.
That changed when I discovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could earn my level 100 % online from an approved, country wide acknowledged Carnegie R 1 university. The flexibility of the program made it feasible to balance job, life, and education. Once I enrolled, I knew I made the right choice.
As an on-line trainee, I remained entailed with campus life through job fairs and signing up with student companies like the Society of Personnel Monitoring. I wanted to get the most out of my college experience and connect with individuals who shared my enthusiasm for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of loss semester. Many thanks to the support and framework of UofM International, I had the ability to end up solid, even making the Dean’s List. I’m taking four classes while offering on active duty, and I’m happy to state I’ll be finishing in May.
Having the ability to serve my country, support my family members, and earn my level suggests the globe to me. I really feel all set to handle whatever comes next.
